Call-In & Voicemail Participation Policy

Thank you for being part of the Deh Island Radio community. Before calling, leaving a voicemail, joining a live broadcast, or participating in any Deh Island Radio program, please review the following participation policy.

By calling, leaving a voicemail, joining a live broadcast, participating in an interview, or otherwise engaging with Deh Island Radio and Island Frequency Media LLC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined below.

Recording & Broadcast Consent

You expressly grant Deh Island Radio and Island Frequency Media LLC the unrestricted right to record, broadcast, rebroadcast, livestream, archive, edit, reproduce, distribute, publish, and otherwise use your voice, comments, likeness (if applicable), and participation in any media format now known or later developed, including but not limited to radio broadcasts, podcasts, websites, social media platforms, promotional materials, marketing campaigns, and future programming.

Voluntary Participation

Your participation is voluntary and provided without compensation, payment, royalties, or other consideration unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Island Frequency Media LLC.

Content Standards

Participants may not engage in or transmit:

Profanity, obscene language, or explicit content
Hate speech, discriminatory remarks, or harassment
Threats, intimidation, or unlawful conduct
Defamatory, false, or misleading statements
Illegal activity or content that violates applicable laws
Unauthorized advertising, solicitation, fundraising, or self-promotion

Audio Quality Requirements

To ensure a quality broadcast experience:

Please participate from a quiet location whenever possible.
No background music is permitted.
No copyrighted music, performances, television audio, radio broadcasts, streaming content, or other protected audio may be played in the background.
No excessive background noise, including parties, clubs, concerts, loud televisions, public events, or similar disruptions.

Calls that do not meet audio quality standards may be declined, muted, disconnected, or not aired.

Screening & Editorial Rights

All calls, voicemails, interviews, and live participation are subject to screening, moderation, editing, delay, rejection, removal, or termination at the sole discretion of Deh Island Radio and Island Frequency Media LLC.

Submission or participation does not guarantee that any call, voicemail, interview, comment, or recording will be aired, published, or used.

Release of Liability

By participating, you release and hold harmless Deh Island Radio, Island Frequency Media LLC, its owners, managers, employees, volunteers, contractors, affiliates, sponsors, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, or disputes arising from your participation, statements, recordings, or the lawful use of such recordings.

Acceptance of Terms

By continuing your call, leaving a voicemail, joining a live broadcast, accepting a guest invitation, or otherwise participating in any Deh Island Radio program, you acknowledge that you have read this Participation Policy and voluntarily agree to be bound by its terms.
